Nazaha opens investigations into criminal cases

Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has recently initiated several criminal cases, and legal procedures against the accused are underway.

 

Nazaha continued investigations into 13 cases. Among the detainees was a retired citizen from a state-owned company. He was arrested for misusing his position by leaking information about the products of the company to contracting companies in exchange for receiving SAR 34.9 million in installments,

 

An employee of the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services was arrested, for receiving money in exchange for issuing a letter addressed to the General Court which includes incorrect information

 

A municipality employee was also arrested, for being caught in the act of receiving money from a citizen in exchange for facilitating official paperwork and leaking municipality documents.

 

Moreover, an officer in a Traffic department was arrested, for receiving money for each truck to pass at peak hours.

 

The Authority will continue to apply the law, with zero-tolerance against corruption.
