Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet
Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet gave the green light for amending Article 3 of the Regulatory Rules of Advertisement and Publicity Boards related to the board fees.
Accordingly, a fee not exceeding SAR 600 will be collected annually for each square meter (sq m) or part of the boards mentioned in Paragraphs (1), (3), (4), (5), (8), (9), (10), and (11) of Article (1) of such rules.
In addition, an amount not exceeding SAR 400 will be collected annually for each sq m or part of the boards mentioned in Paragraph (2) of Article (1) of such rules.
The competent minister sets criteria for determining the fee according to the type of the board, its location, the technology used, the duration of the license, and other criteria. He may also determine the basis for calculating the fee on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis, provided that it does not exceed the maximum amount set annually, as per an agreement with the Non-Oil Revenue Development Center.
