The trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Thailand is forecast to reach SAR 35 billion this year, amid the mutual support by both countries, Ajlan Al Ajlan, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) said, expecting the trade to record robust growth in the future.

Certain sectors will be targeted for investment, including foodstuffs, furniture, car spare parts and other sectors, Al Ajlan told Argaam on the sidelines of the Saudi-Thai Business Forum held on Aug. 29 in Riyadh.

Companies will also cooperate to localize industries in these sectors, Al Ajlan affirmed, pointing to the high skills of Thais in various sectors, such as nursing and contracting.

He also added that commercial cooperation between both countries is backed by the available opportunities offered to firms, noting that the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Thailand will benefit their private sectors.
