Tariq Al-Hefdhi, Deputy Governor of Operations at the Real Estate General Authority (REGA)
Tariq Al-Hefdhi, Deputy Governor of Operations at the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), said the authority intends to gradually start implementing the law of real estate registration in cities, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
He added that REGA developed some mechanisms and factors to determine the target cities, including the availability of existing data, such as plans, ownership and spatial data of the property.
Riyadh will be among the target cities during the first stage, indicating that the application mechanism may include more than one city in each stage if the factors that accelerate the application of the law are available, Al-Hefdhi noted.
He pointed out that the establishment of the real estate registry for all properties in the Kingdom and registration of any property as per the law of real estate registration will be for free.
REGA recently issued the executive regulations of the law of real estate registration, which is concerned with the documentation of land and real estate properties and explains all the details and procedures of the law, according to data available with Argaam.
