Al Othaim launches strategic plan for retail business in Saudi Arabia until 2026

Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Co. announced the launch of its strategic plan for retail business in Saudi Arabia up to 2026, according to a bourse statement.

 

The plan aims at providing multiple options for the shopper with a distinctive experience, through the company’s sales points, supermarkets, developed corners, wholesale and electronic platforms.

 

The strategy also includes redesign and re-launch of a new commercial identity, through an ambitious vision “Better life at lower costs”.

 

The action plan presents a multi-model approach that offers a differentiated value, targeting the largest segment of customers, providing the best development, stimulating work environment, supporting sustainability, food and environmental security, generating jobs and building business partnerships based on trust and mutual gains.

 

The main features of the strategic plan include providing all the shopping needs of the largest segment of customers and serving them in the best and easiest way; providing the best value along with the most suitable quality and experience; expansion in serving quantities wholesale customers for example catering centers, hotels, restaurants and large families through wholesale markets.

 

The principles of the operational model and the main axes include, an organization focused on customer needs, and, an improved and distinctive offering to the customers,

It also aims to ensure a comprehensive, multi-business model that is capable of development and expansion; the effectiveness of the organizational structure, operations cost, assets and operational resources; and, enabling data, digital transformation and technology.

 

The new operating model within the strategic plan aims to enable the company to achieve the growth, expansion, and development in the markets, according to the highest operational modern standard, which would maximize the shareholders equity and company’s profits, the statement added.
