SACO names Abdel-Salam Bdeir as new CEO

Saudi Company For Hardware's (SACO) board of directors accepted, on Oct. 13, the resignation of CEO Haytham Al Hamidi on Oct. 13.

 

The board appointed Abdel-Salam Bdeir as CEO from Jan. 1, 2023, the company said in a filing to Tadawul today, Oct. 16.

 

However, Al Hamidi will carry on his CEO role to ensure a smooth transition process, the statement said.

 

Bdeir will join the company as of Nov. 1, 2022 and assume his CEO position as of Jan. 1, 2023.

 

Bdeir has over 28 years of experience in retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries in the GCC and MENA markets. He was the CEO of several listed companies and has broad experience in managing corporate business transformation. Bdeir holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
