Saudi Arabia seeks to stimulate investment in healthcare to boost efficiency: Minister

The targets to develop the healthcare sector are based on building an integrative relationship between the public and private sectors and striving to stimulate investment in healthcare to raise the efficiency of relevant services, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel.

 

During the inauguration of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Riyadh, AlJalajel said the ministry aims to improve the efficiency of healthcare services and make a shift in the quality and speed of services provided to beneficiaries, citizens and residents. He added that the ministry takes into account their needs and priorities to achieve a prosperous future and sustainable development.  

 

The minister also said that among the Kingdom's targets is that Riyadh's population will reach 15-20 million people by 2030, which reflects the need to boost preparations, improve the quality of services provided to citizens and residents, as well as to enable the private healthcare sector to play its role. In addition, the ministry aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of relevant services.

 

The ministry also seeks to improve patients' experience and stages of treatment, as well as pay more attention to the quality of services provided to them, AlJalajel said. He added that the ministry aims to develop more vital options to enhance the quality of life through benefiting from global and regional experiences.
