The Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment are considering capital injections into Credit Suisse's investment bank and other businesses to take advantage of low valuations, Bloomberg reported, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

A deal could also come through other vehicles in which each country owns significant stakes, the sources said.

Studies are still in a early stage. It is not clear if they will lead to firm offers.

Credit Suisse Group AG started on Oct. 17 exploring a sale of its US asset-management operations and moving closer to securing financing for other businesses. The Swiss bank will unveil a strategic restructuring next week to simplify its operations and narrow losses.
