The agricultural sector in Saudi Arabia has several investment opportunities, Okaz newspaper reported, citing Ahmad Alayadh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
He added that the Kingdom has packages worth SAR 91 billion to develop the investment sector.
These packages aim to support the private sector, and they include governmental, capital and direct support to develop the agricultural sector over the next 10 years, Alayadh noted.
The Saudi Agriculture 2022 Exhibition and the Saudi Agri-Business Forum aim to facilitate work of exhibitors and the private sector as well as maintain cooperation between the public and the private sectors.
In September, Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, announced that a Royal Decree was issued to allocate nearly SAR 91 billion for investment in the local content of food products, according to data available with Argaam.
