The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) monitored 65 facilities committing violations related to failure to directly report drug pricing and pharmaceutical supply interruptions in September.
In a statement, the authority added that it monitored 42 facilities failing to comply with the direct (instant) reporting of drug pricing via the electronic tracking system. In addition, eight pharmacy facilities (factories and drug agents) failed to provide 12 pharmaceuticals. Other 15 facilities also did not comply with reporting any product shortages or interruptions.
The total fines imposed on these facilities reached nearly SAR 1.6 million, SFDA noted.
