Al Yamamah Steel appoints Sahal Al Thobiti CEO as Youssef Bazaid steps down

Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co. announced today, Nov. 17, that the board of directors accepted the resignation of CEO Youssef Bazaid, effective as of March 1, 2023.

 

The resignation was submitted due to personal circumstances, the steel producer added in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The board also approved appointing Sahal Al Thobiti as the new CEO.

 

January and February 2023 are designated for handing over duties and works between the two, it added.

 

Al Thobiti holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering as well as accounting, along with a Master's in business administration from King Abdulaziz University. With 20 years of experience in the industrial sector, he ran Al Yamamah Steel’s COO post.
