Middle East Paper Co. (MEPCO) announced that its operations were affected by heavy rain in Jeddah on Nov. 24, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The operations at the company's plant in Al Khumrah were suspended, and some logistical activities were affected. There were no human injuries.

The paper manufacturer said it successfully restored nearly 40% of the plant's production capacity within 48 hours, adding that the operating team is currently working to restore the full production capacity, which is expected within seven days from the disclosure date.

MEPCO has an appropriate insurance coverage and it will continue to serve its customers both locally and globally, the statement noted.

The financial impact will be determined after the restoration of production capacity and operation.
