The Ministry of Finance will hold, on Dec. 11-12, the Budget Forum 2023 to announce the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 2023 at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC).
Deputy Minister of Communication and Media Hassan Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh said about 30 speakers, including leaders, as well as government and private sector officials, will participate to discuss the government performance in 2022, and the impact of government services on nationals and the private sector. Other agenda items include the plans and future projects off these entities.
The forum will include 11 panel discussions. The first day will see six panel sessions to discuss “Financial Stability and Economic Growth Driver”, “Sustainable Energy”. “Basic Services in Light of National Transformation”, “The Role of Infrastructure and Logistics Services in Supporting Economic Development”, “Effect of Enabling Investment on Economic Growth”, and “Enhancing the Technological Sector to Enable Digital Economy”.
On the second day five panel discussions will be held to address “National Industry and its Role to Face Risks”, “Facilitating Business and their Role in Economy”, “Impact of Tourism and Culture in Economic Development”, and “Budget Impact on Women Empowerment.”
The forum will be held in coincidence with the sixth edition of the Knowledge Gathering under the theme of “Investment in the Kingdom … Aspirations and Opportunities”. An interactive exhibition will be also held on the sidelines of the forum to highlight the Kingdom’s achievements, Al-Sheikh added, noting that everyone can watch the forum on the ministry’s Twitter account @MOFKSA.
