Saudi Venture Capital invests in local, regional and global VC funds to attract foreign capital: CEO

Saudi Venture Capital Co. (SVC) CEO Nabeel Koshak

Saudi Venture Capital Co. (SVC) invests in local, regional and global venture capital and private equity funds, CEO Nabeel Koshak said, underlining the significance of this move to attract foreign capital to local start-ups.

 

The goal behind investment in local, regional and global firms is helping SVC invest in start-ups with entrepreneurs in the Kingdom, a condition set by the company for every fund manager to allocate funds higher than the amount allocated for investment in a fund.

 

The minimum limit is the full amount or double the amount invested in local entrepreneurs, Koshak added.

 

This in turn encourages local and regional investors, and helps support Saudi firms to commence operations and grow outside the Kingdom.
