RCJY cities attract SAR 1.1 tln investments in 2021: Al-Salem

President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), Khalid Al-Salem, said total investments in the Commission’s cities reached almost SAR 1.1 trillion in 2021, adding that an investment rise of 3-4% is targeted by 2040.

 

Industries in the RCJY cities contributed about SAR 179 billion to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) last year. An Increase of 3-4% is eyed by 2040, Al-Salem told CNBC Arabia.

 

The RCJY aims to raise the number of jobs by 5-7%, or 353,000 jobs, from 113,000 at the end of 2021.
