The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing and the Ministry of Education signed a joint cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing doing business and the local investment climate, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The agreement is aimed to improve the investment environment and facilitate the procedures for issuing municipal licenses and approving school plans in the private education sector, by reducing the number of procedures necessary for issuing licenses through the “Balady” platform.

Furthermore, it contributes to standardizing the investor’s journey in obtaining building permits, in cooperation with authorized engineering offices. This is besides providing an opportunity for investors to be informed about the timeline for the revision and preparation of designs.

The agreement also comes to raise the level of achievement and satisfaction in existing government e-services, as well as boost joint cooperation between government agencies. This is part of the continuous and joint efforts aimed at accelerating the Kingdom’s digital transformation process, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
