Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) announced renewing Saudi Arabian Oil Co.’s (Saudi Aramco) agreement for oil storage, throughput and tank lease in Okinawa, Japan, for three years.

Under the agreement, JOGMEC leases 13 crude oil stockpiling tanks at the Okinawa CTS Corporation base to Aramco. It enables the latter to stock approximately 1.3 million kiloliters of crude oil for the next three years, the company said in a statement.

The deal took effect in 2010 and is renewed every three years, the statement added.
