 Cabinet authorizes Minister of Municipal Affairs to set licensing fees

The Saudi Cabinet, in a meeting chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved a number of decisions, today, Jan. 10.

 

The Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing will provide basis for calculating municipal license issuance fees, on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

 

The Cabinet approved the national policy to promote equal opportunity and treatment in employment and occupation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The Kingdom's accession to the Arab Agreement to Regulate Passenger Land Transport between and across the Arab States was also approved.

 

In addition, the Cabinet endorsed two agreements on the employment of domestic workers and laborers between Saudi Arabia and Sierra Leone.

 

Moreover, the Minister of Investment, or the person authorized, was allowed to discuss and sign with Indian a draft program for framework cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the India's National Agency for Investment Promotion and Facilitation (Invest in India) to promote bilateral investment.

 

- According to Paragraph (One) of Article (17) of the Law of Eminent Domain and Temporary Taking of Property, the phrase "after handing over the property" refers to the act of handing over the property legally through documenting what happens to rights before a notary public or a judge, in addition to that the payment of expropriation compensation occurs after the property is handed over in this sense but prior to its evacuation.
