Saudi holdings of US Treasuries at $121.4 bln in November 2022


Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries reached $121.4 billion in November 2022, rising $774 million month-on-month (MoM), new data released by the US Treasury showed.

 

The Kingdom maintained the 16th place among the largest holders of US debt in November.

 

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries were distributed among long-term bonds worth $103.4 billion, representing 85% of the total. This is besides short-term bonds worth $17.99 billion, accounting for 15%.

Japan was the top holder of US Treasury bonds in November with a value of $1.082 trillion. China came next, with a value of $870 billion, as the following table shows:
