Several Indonesian businesses showed interest in entering the Saudi market to tap the available promising investment opportunities, under the Saudi Vision 2030.

Indonesian firms signed eight trade agreements with Saudi peers in the fields of food industries, consumer goods, export and import during the Saudi-Indonesian Business Forum, the state-run SPA reported.

Indonesian Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan said that the Asian country exports high-quality products, and aims to continue increasing exports to the Saudi market. He aspires to seal trade agreements with other GCC countries and find ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

The Indonesian firms are able to fulfill the Saudi market demand, Hasan added, describing the Kingdom as a strategic partner of Indonesia. Saudi Arabia comes in the 8th place among importers of Indonesian food products.
