The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved today, Jan. 14, extending the three-year exemption of small-sized enterprises, where at least nine workers including the owner are employed, from expat levy for one year only. The extension will come into effect from the date stated earlier.

 

The Cabinet also suspended the automated system for home ownership calculation, and approved a domestic labor agreement with Uzbekistan.

 

Other agenda items, including the updated trade obligations of the Kingdom under the World Trade Organization.

 

In April 2020, Saudi Arabia exempted SMEs from expat fees for some workers under certain conditions for three years, Argaam earlier reported.
