HRSD Ministry says Phase II of updated Nitaqat Program takes effect

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced that the second phase of updated Nitaqat Program entered into force. The first phase of the programs has been applied to the private sector establishments since Dec. 1, 2021.

 

In a statement today, Jan. 28, the ministry said that the program comes in line with the localization decisions and the ministry’s plan to provide more opportunities for nationals and enhance the stability of private sector establishments. 

 

The updated Nitaqat program, which was developed in coordination with the competent government authorities and owners of private sector establishments, is one of the most important strategic transformation initiatives of the HRSD Ministry, as it aims to improve the labor market, provide appropriate jobs and an attractive work environment for the Saudi youth. The program also offers several key privileges, including a transparent and clear localization plan for three years. 

 

The ministry also launched the “instant calculation” service for two months from the launch date to encourage these establishments.
