Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors rise 14% to SAR 2.41 trln in 2022

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sector rose 14% by the end of 2022 to SAR 2.41 trillion, compared to SAR 2.12 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also increased by 13% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.29 trillion for the same year.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial public sector enterprises jumped 34% YoY to about SAR 127.9 billion by the end of 2022.
