Saudi Council of Engineers says 5,300 engineering offices, companies licensed

The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) said the total number of licenses offered to engineering offices and companies in Saudi Arabia amounts to nearly 5,300, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

The authority added that the number of licenses granted to engineering offices reaches 4,530, noting that the number of engineering companies amounts to 730.

SCE recently stated that the number of certified engineers in the Kingdom reaches 100,840, of whom 48,762 are civil engineers, 34,440 are electrical engineers and 9,137 are electronics and communications engineers. Meanwhile, the number of computer engineers is 8,496, according to data available with Argaam.
