Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports surged by 26% year-on-year (YoY) in November 2022 to SAR 62.7 billion, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Imports fell by SAR 1.21 billion, or 2%, month-on-month (MoM), as follows:

The YoY increase in the Kingdom’s imports in November 2022 was driven by a SAR 5.3 billion, or 72%, rise in its vehicles, aircraft, vessels and associated transport equipment. Alongside further gains in imports of several other segments, machinery and mechanical appliances; electrical equipment; parts thereof added SAR 2.62 billion, or 26%, YoY.

China topped the Kingdom's list of countries for imports, amounting to SAR 14.4 billion, accounting for 23% of the total value of imports in November.
The US and the UAE took the second and third positions, at 10% and 5%, respectively.
The top 10 exporters to Saudi Arabia accounted for 63%, or SAR 39.5 billion, of the Kingdom's total imports in November.
