Abdulaziz Al-Duailj, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), announced the launch of Al-Ahsa International Airport expansion project to increase the airport capacity by 250% to one million passengers per annum.  

 

The airport expansion project features the launch of two terminals for international flights, spanning 3,400 square meters (sqm), Al-Duailj indicated on the sidelines of the Gulf Economic Media Forum on Tuesday in Al-Ahsa. 

 

He also added that the domestic terminals will be upgraded and the operating capacity will be boosted to 12 platforms for domestic and international flights, in addition to expanding the parking capacity by 180%.
