Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co.’s (Cenomi Retail) board of directors approved on March 4 the appointment of Günther Helm as the company’s CEO, starting April 1, 2023.
In a statement to Tadawul, Cenomi Retail said Mohamad Mourad’s assignment as interim CEO was ended. He will continue his role as board member and Chairman of the executive committee.
Meanwhile, Helm will lead the company’s transformational program, focusing on new strategy for cost optimization and better retail operations.
The new CEO will work closely with the company's leading brand partners across strategic verticals to drive sustainable growth and customer experiences both in-store and online.
Helm has more than 20 years of experience in the global retail sector, having held various executive positions for the past 15 years.
Helm was CEO of Müller Holding, Germany's leading multi-brand retailer.
He holds a PhD in Law and a law degree from Johannes Kepler University Linz - JKU, Austria.
According to data available on Argaam, Managing Director Mourad was assigned the duties of CEO as of May 1, 2022, after Marwan Aziz Moukarzel resigned from the position on April 30, 2022.
