Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received in Riyadh President of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Patrick Specht and his accompanying delegation, where they reviewed the Kingdom's bid to host Expo 2030.

The meeting was attended by CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) Fahd Al-Rasheed, Saudi Ambassador to France Fahad Alruwaily, BIE Secretary-General Dimitri Kerkentzes and a number of the bureau’s senior officials.

On the other hand, the bureau’s delegation held the first workshop to evaluate the file submitted by the Kingdom to host the exhibition, as part of procedures to determine the host country.

The members of BIE delegation learned about cultural and artistic diversity of the Kingdom, during their tour at the National Museum at King Abdulaziz Historical Center.

The delegation also met with Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan and reviewed the details of the Kingdom's financial commitment to support the exhibition.

Al-Jadaan stressed the Kingdom's commitment to host and finance the exhibition, including providing basic and operational expenses that ensure the success of the exhibition, and make its edition in Riyadh exceptional.

He added that the economic and financial reforms witnessed by the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030, contributed to pushing and accelerating the pace of growth, as a package of programs and projects were implemented that contributed to achieving the goals of the vision.

For his part, Al-Rasheed said that Riyadh's comparative advantages make it able to come out with an exceptional version of the exhibition in light of the Crown Prince's follow-up to this file.

Al-Rasheed pointed to the integration of government agencies to fulfill their obligations submitted in the nomination file, the interaction of Riyadh residents and the long record of successes in hosting major events.
