Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories added 1.6 million barrels in the week ended March 10, against analysts' consensus in a Reuters poll for a 1.2-million-barrel rise, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) data showed.
Meanwhile, gasoline inventories plunged by 2.1 million barrels, with distillate stocks also shedding 2.5 million barrels.
