CST reveals internet speeds in Saudi Arabia for Q4 2022

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) released its report on internet speeds in Saudi Arabia (Meqyas) for Q4 2022. 

 

 

In a statement, CITC compared the speeds of service providers in the Kingdom through download, upload and speed of access to digital content.

 

The average download speed for mobile internet reached 180.21 megabits per second (Mbps), a rise of 6.31% compared to Q4 2021. Meanwhile, the average upload speed amounted to 22.80 Mbps.

 

The average download speed for fixed-line internet amounted to 114.29 Mbps, a rise of 9.69% compared with a year earlier.

 

stc came in the first place in terms of mobile internet average download speed, with 199.03 Mbps, up 12.52% from a year earlier.  

 

Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) came first in fixed-line internet download speed, with 130.18 Mbps.

 

The number of Saudi cities covered with 5G reached 95, at an average speed of 344.41 Mbps.
