The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced that Al-Falah district in Riyadh will be the first to be designated as real estate registration area from May 7.

The selection of the district came according to approved criteria, and the rest of districts that will benefit from the Realty In-Kind Registration Law in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam will be announced later this year.

The authority also said that the realty in-kind registration that will be granted to all real estate in the district is an extension of the current electronic deeds given for all residential, commercial, agricultural and governmental real estate. The first real estate registration will be available free of charge through its electronic portal, which will be announced before the start of field work.

Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail said that the authority’s announcement of Al-Falah district as a real estate registration area comes as a culmination of the government partnership in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He indicated that this step represents a quantum leap in the comprehensive strategy for the real estate sector aimed at strengthening reliability and raising the level of quality real estate documentation.
