HRSD Ministry starts 1st phase of localizing consultancy field

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) started today, April 6, the implementation of first phase of the localization of consultancy professions and businesses across the Kingdom, upon the expiry of the grace period for related jobs, according to a statement.

 

HRSD Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi issued a decision, on Oct. 11, 2022, to localize 35% of consultancy professions and businesses. The second phase will be implemented at 40% as of March 24, 2024.

 

The decision, which targets all professions in the sector, is expected to provide more job opportunities for Saudi citizens.

 

The HRSD Ministry, in cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), will provide incentives to support private sector establishments in employing Saudis.

 

Meanwhile, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority will follow up on the commitment for the inclusion of Saudization requirements in consultancy contracts.
