Nazaha opens investigations into criminal cases

Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) recently initiated investigations into several criminal cases, and legal procedures against the accused are underway.  

 

Nazaha continued investigations into 17 cases. Among the detainees was a university employee who misused his position as a manager of the student incentives department by embezzling nearly SAR 6.5 million.    

 

A resident was also arrested for misappropriating SAR 8.8 million from the bank account of the execution account.

 

In addition, a businessman and his brother who work in the General Directorate of Education in one of the governorates were arrested for agreeing with several commercial entities to award a number of projects in exchange for sharing the projects value reaching SAR 1.68 billion without implementing them.

 

Four residents working in the Medical Supply Department of the General Directorate of Health Affairs were arrested for embezzling and selling medicines worth more than SAR 300,000.
