The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has opened investigations against 131 officials, of which 74 face charges of bribery, abuse of authority, money laundering and forgery.

The arrested defendants work in seven government organizations, including the Ministries of Interior, Defense, National Guard, Foreign Affairs, Health, Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, in addition to Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

Nazaha stressed that it continues efforts to monitor, follow up, control and arrest anyone misusing  public money or exploiting positions to achieve personal interests or harm the public interest.
