Saudi POS transactions hit historic highs in March: Argaam Tools

The point-of-sale (POS) transactions hit an all-time high in March at SAR 55.4 billion, data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.

POS transactions represent consumers spent using their ATM cards and credit cards in shopping malls, retail stores, pharmacies, etc.

POS sales grew 9% year-on-year (YoY) in March.

The sales were executed through 720.2 million transactions via 1.58 million terminals.
