Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co. was notified by its lawyer today, May 3, of Riyadh’s Administrative Court of Appeal upholding of the preliminary ruling by the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations on dismissing the case against the company, according to a Tadawul statement.

The court also rejected the appeal submitted by the General Authority for Competition (GAC) against the ruling issued by the court to uphold the committee’s decision.

The company received, on Jan. 12, a notification from its lawyer on the upholding of the decision of the committee and rejection of the appeal submitted by GAC before Riyadh’s Administrative Court of Appeal to challenge this decision, according to data available with Argaam.

GAC previously filed a lawsuit before the adjudication committee against Tihama, demanding a fine not exceeding 10% of the total sales and not less than SAR 10 million, when it is impossible to estimate the sales.

The committee's general secretariat decided, on March 29, 2022, to dismiss the lawsuit against Tihama, due to lack of evidence.
