The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved today, May 9, the establishment of "Sakhaa" Program to support the society by adopting sustainable development projects, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The Cabinet also reviewed the performance indicators of the state’s general budget for the first quarter of 2023, including gross revenues and expenditures as well as public debt. This is in addition to exploring how these indicators reflected on the Kingdom’s financial position, continued economic reforms and Vision 2030 goals.

 

Furthermore, the Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to work with international and regional partners to find the necessary solutions in the field of climate, including developing carbon management technologies, decarbonization of the energy sector, reducing gas emissions, and curbing deforestation.

 

The Cabinet also approved a number of decisions, including approval in principle to establish an integrated infrastructure for radio monitoring of satellites to cover the Kingdom's territories.
