Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) signed on May 10 an agreement with Communications, Space & Technology (CST) Commission to settle balances and dues from the beginning of dealings between both parties until end of 2018.

Under this agreement, GO will pay CST SAR 63.9 million in equal instalments of SAR 9.13 million over seven years, starting from April 1, 2025, the telco said in a statement to Tadawul.

GO will also write off SAR 64.1 million in disputed dues with CST.

This settlement resulted in a positive preliminary financial impact of recording a finance income of SAR 15.03 million, and transferring SAR 48.84 million to non-current liabilities from current liabilities. In addition, the write-off will have no financial impact on GO’s statements as the canceled disputed amount is not recorded in the company’s books due to the disagreement with CST.

The settlement’s financial impact will be recorded in the next interim financial results for the first quarter ending on June 30, 2023, since the agreement was concluded on May 10, 2023.
