Saudi Council of Ministers approved, on May 16, providing health insurance coverage to domestic workers, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The healthcare coverage will apply if a household employs four or more domestic helpers.
The implementation of the decision will be subject to the regulations set by a committee formed under the chairmanship of the Council of Health Insurance and with the membership of several entities.
The Cabinet also decided to transfer the authority of issuing licenses for teaching and educational consultancy business from the Ministry of Commerce to the Ministry of Education.
