A total of 200 local and international companies expressed their interest for three projects announced by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) in each of the second health cluster in Riyadh, and the first health cluster in the eastern region in Dammam.
The first project includes designing (medical and non-medical) and developing, financing, maintaining and operating long-stay hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds, and nursing care centers with a capacity of 100 beds for each health cluster.
Among the 139 companies that submitted expression of interest (EOI) for this project are Al Hammadi Holding, Arabian International Healthcare Holding Co. (Tibbiyaah), Dallah Health Co., Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group, Mouwasat Medical Services Co., Saudi German Health (SGH) and Elm Co.
The second project includes designing (medical and non-medical), development, financing, maintenance, and operation of medical rehabilitation hospitals with a capacity of 150 beds and 120,000 outpatient treatment sessions for each health cluster.
As many as 131 companies from 17 countries submitted EOI for this project The Saudi companies are Al Hammadi Holding, Tibbiyaah, Sulaiman Al Habib, Mouwasat, SGH and Elm Co.
The third project was home healthcare, in the form of a contract for providing medical services, for 5,000 active patients for each health cluster, to which 154 companies submitted their EOI.
Among those companies were Tibbiyaah, Dallah, Sulaiman Al Habib, Maharah Human Resources Co., SGH, Mouwasat, Naba Alsaha Medical Services Co., National Medical Care Co., Future Care Trading Co. and Elm.
Last March, the ministry and NCP offered these projects under public-private partnership (PPP) to improve and enhance the quality of services.
