Shura Council urges CMA to study setting up commodities exchange in Saudi Arabia

The Shura Council urged today, May 29, the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to study the feasibility of establishing a commodities exchange in Saudi Arabia, the state-run SPA reported.

 

The Shura Council’s resolution was taken after considering the viewpoint and remarks of the financial and economic committee about the CMA’s annual report.

 

The advisory council called on the market regulator to review the mechanisms and frameworks of developing measurable annual indicators in line with local and global economic variables.
