Tourism contributes 4.45% to Saudi Arabia's GDP: Al Khateeb

Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, said that the tourism sector’s contribution to Saudi Arabia's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 4.45%.

 

Speaking during the Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh, Al Khateeb added that this percentage is set to continue increasing until it reaches the global level of 10%.

 

He also expected the tourism sector in the Kingdom to recover from the pandemic this year, indicating that Saudi Arabia aims to invest more than $800 billion in the sector over the next 10 years.
