Almarai CEO Abdullah Nasser Al Bader
Almarai Co. is looking for new opportunities in a variety of sectors across the region, Almarai CEO Abdullah Albader said.
On the sidelines of the 10th Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh, Al-Badr told Argaam that his company signed two agreements with governmental entities, as it aims to develop its business and enhance existing cooperation.
This integration supports Almarai’s plan to explore new opportunities in the existing sectors, tap new industries, and realize geographical expansion. Saudi Arabia seeks to achieve self-sufficiency in the poultry sector as one of its strategic sectors. This is evident in the shift to local products compared to imports, he added.
Accordingly, Almarai continues to develop its business in the poultry sector by investing in broiler chickens, poultry mothers, and poultry grandparents.
Albader stressed the company's keenness to ensure product availability at the same high level of quality.
The company aims to reduce the cost resulting from rising feed inputs, which witnessed a significant rise during the Corona pandemic and are still high compared to the past three years.
The CEO indicated that it is difficult to predict cost trends, but the company is working on obtaining larger quantities of alfalfa to support and secure the food security system in the Kingdom and other markets in which it operates.
