A Saudi Port
Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports grew by 18% year-on-year (YoY) to almost SAR 186.4 billion in Q1 2023, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
On a quarterly basis, merchandise imports fell by 5%, or nearly SAR 9.56 billion, as follows:

The YoY increase in the Kingdom’s Q1 2023 imports was driven by machinery and mechanical appliances; electrical equipment and parts thereof, as well as vehicles, aircraft, vessels and associated transport equipment, which dominate 21% and 16%, respectively, of the total.
