The Kuwait-Saudi Joint Committee discussed today, July 9, accelerating the petroleum projects related to the "Divided Area", said Sheikh Nimer Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil.

He added that the committee stressed the importance of implementing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries in 2019, in addition to overcoming any challenges facing the petroleum projects. In addition, the committee is working on developing and exploiting the natural resources in the Divided Area to meet the growth of domestic demand.

Further, the committee discussed a study taking into account the future vision and joint plans as well as meeting operational requirements. The study aims to allow workers and equipment to move easily and smoothly through the cross borders, as per the MoU.
