The Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) discussed in a virtual meeting a number of reports, presentations and topics on its agenda, including the periodic presentation of the Ministry of Economy and Planning on local and global economic developments.

 

The presentation included details of the key indicators of the national economy and the growth rate witnessed in several sectors and activities.

 

It also included a comprehensive review, the latest developments, and an analysis of the main indicators of the global economy during the last period.

 

The quarterly report submitted by the Office of the Strategic Committee of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs to realize the Kingdom's Vision 2030, was also reviewed by CEDA. The report included a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of the programs, achievements, as well as future aspirations, and the role of the vision programs in realizing the strategic goals.

 

During its meeting, CEDA discussed a presentation submitted by the Project Management Office at the Secretariat of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development regarding the decisions and recommendations issued by the Council for Q2 2023. CEDA closely follows the level of completion of the tasks assigned to the competent authorities, pointing to the high rate of implementation of the tasks and assignments despite their increase, in addition to the noticeable increase in the number of government agencies that achieved 98% in performance indicators.

 

The necessary decisions and recommendations regarding these issues were taken.
