HRSD Ministry enables transfer of domestic labor services between individuals

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced today, Aug. 1, that domestic labor services between individuals can be transferred through Musaned platform.

The service enables citizens to transfer the services of domestic workers from their current employer to the new employer via the platform in line with the recruitment controls, rules and conditions.

The transfer process is completed after the approval of all parties to the contractual relationship, namely the current employer, domestic worker and new employer on transfer, the ministry said in a statement.

The payment process will take place through e-channels on the platform and as per the price caps specified by the ministry.

The ministry indicated that the procedure will contribute to preserving the rights of the employer and the domestic worker upon transfer by issuing a fixed-term employment contract, which contains clauses to protect the rights of both parties following their approvals.

The move falls within the framework of continuous work to develop the domestic labor sector in the Kingdom, raise recruitment quality, preserve rights, organize contractual relationships between all concerned parties and achieve the highest levels of control, the ministry stated.
