The Saudi Cabinet, in a meeting chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, today, Aug. 22, approved several decisions, including mandating Mayor of Riyadh - or his deputy - to discuss with Korea a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Riyadh Municipality and Seoul Metropolitan Government for cooperation in the field of city management and operation.

 

Besides, the Cabinet decided to authorize Minister of Tourism - or his deputy – to discuss with the Chinese side a draft MoU between the Saudi Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China to facilitate the travel of Chinese tourist delegations to the Kingdom.

 

The Cabinet also approved the organizational structure of the Saudi Investment Council.

 

This is besides agreeing to amend a provision of Clause (1) of the Cabinet Resolution No. (1270), dated 12/11/1392H (Dec. 17, 1972), on the rules for implementing Articles (21) and (23) of the Roads and Buildings Law, as stated in the decision.

 

Some provisions of the Civil Service Law and its Implementing Regulations, related to the disbursement of deportation allowance, were amended to be in accordance with the text detailed in the decision.

 

Further, the Cabinet nodded to the renewal of the term of office of the General Organization of Saudi Arabian Airlines’ current board.

 

The Cabinet also decided that the state shall bear outstanding fees and fines on lost vehicles until deemed found, incurred as of the date of reporting the loss of this vehicle.

 

This is provided that this does not prejudice the return of the state to fees and fines on the thief or fraudulent owner of such vehicle in case it was stolen.

 

Additionally, the draft bill on the rights of persons with disabilities was ratified.
