Chemicals exports dip 53% to SAR 4.92 bln in June

Saudi Arabia's exports of chemical industry and related products fell by 53% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 4.92 billion in June.

 

Compared to May, the chemicals exports dropped by SAR 2.42 billion, or 32%.

 

The exports of chemical industry and related products represented 29% of June’s non-oil exports, as shown in the following table:

India topped the list of chemical product importers from Saudi Arabia with nearly SAR 899.6 million, accounting for 18.3% of the total exports of chemical products in June. China and the United States followed with 13.9% and 7.4%, respectively, as shown in the table below:

On the other hand, the Kingdom's imports of chemical and industry-related products amounted to SAR 4.87 billion during the month, down 23% YoY.

 

Compared to May, imports of chemical and industry-related products in June dipped 33% YoY, or by SAR 2.44 billion.

 

Imports of chemical and industry-related products during June accounted for 9% of the total imports amounting to SAR 51.44 billion.
