Hadaf raises minimum wage to SAR 4,000

The Human Resources Development Fund updated controls for the application to the employment support initiative (Hadaf) extended to private sector entities across Saudi Arabia.

 

In a statement, the fund pointed out that the updated controls included raising the minimum wage subsidized by Hadaf to SAR 4,000 from SAR 3,200.

 

Moreover, the grace period for submitting an employment support application within the first 120 days from the date of the employee’s enrolment into social insurance registration was cancelled.

 

A private-sector organization is allowed to submit a support application 90 days after the employee’s registration in social insurance (after the end of the probation period), and shall bear the employee’s full wage during the first three months of appointment (the first 90 days from the date of the employee’s social insurance registration), provided Hadaf application has been submitted between 91 and 180 days from the employee’s social insurance enrolling date.

 

No applications will be accepted after 180 days of the employee’s registration in social insurance, the statement added, indicating that the updated controls apply to new applications starting from Sept. 5.

 

The fund continues to disburse to the currently subsidized beneficiaries according to the previously applicable controls.
